KITESURFING PIONEERS IN BELGIUM

2000 was the year in which Surfers Paradise established the Naish Kitesurfing Centre. In addition, the first Belgian Championships were organised on the grounds of Surfers Paradise. 2002 and 2004 were even the years in which we brought the World Championships to our little country.

To put this into perspective: 5000 spectators on the beach and at least 21 million living rooms where television images were shown.

QUALITY LABEL IKO

Our Naish Kitesurfing Centre carries the quality label of the International Kitesurfing Organisation (IKO). This means that the centre is bound by strict, international quality and safety rules. At the start of the course each student receives an IKO level card. This certificate is proof of your level. Moreover, you can use it worldwide at other IKO centres for extra lessons or to rent equipment.

THE LEARNING PROCESS

The beach part consists of essential theory and exercises on the beach until you fully master the art of 'beach' kiting. On the water, you start with an introduction to body dragging. When you have mastered this, you will get used to the board and before you know it you will be flying through the waves at an incredible speed.
