Traditionally, Surfers Paradise organised "The National Watersports Day" as every year in collaboration with the water sports federation WWSV. 70 participants were able to get acquainted with various sports for free. Fortunately enough, the sun and a light breeze were on hand and sports enthusiasts, young and old, were able to stand up paddleboard, beach kite and speed swing. Several participants got the hang of it and are ready to take the next steps. With the information they got from the introductory lessons, they can take further lessons or continue practising on their own. In short, it was a successful day with the mission to encourage as many people as possible to take up water sports!
