This year, after a 2-year hiatus, Surfers Paradise organised "The Watersports Day" again. More than 60 participants came to the beach of Knokke-Heist to take part in one or two free initiation sessions. They could choose between surfing, skimboarding and beach kiting. All this took place under the watchful eye of experienced instructors who not only provided the necessary tips, but also guaranteed the safety of all participants. After all, there was a strong north-eastern wind with a lot of waves.
Upon arrival, participants received a Tao Energizer and an Eat Natural protein bar to start the day full of energy.
Everyone enjoyed this offer, especially since the skimboarding was done in a real skim pool on the beach instead of at sea. The surfers were first given an initiation on the beach and on the surf simulator, after which they were eager to brave the wild surf. The same goes for the kite initiation: first all explanations on the beach and then in pairs on the powerkite at the low tide line, perfect because there was a lot of wind so the kite went up, literally and figuratively!
