They just can't get enough of it... which is why Surfers Paradise is organising an extra mini surf camp for youngsters on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 August.
During these aloha surf days, youngsters aged between 8 and 18, are introduced to all aspects of surfing. The day itself is given a Hawaiian touch. Thus, on arrival there will be Hawaiian music, an explanation of the origins of surfing and what goes on in the waves in Hawaii these days. Of course, afterwards, everyone will soon also be given a surfboard and a wetsuit to choose the salty wet after a bit of explanation on the beach. For lunch, everyone will have a sandwich of their choice before getting back on the board after lunch. The Aloha surfdays are concluded with a Hawaiian ceremony on the water and afterwards, every new surfer goes home with a Hawaiian garland. In case of no surf conditions, a side programme will of course be provided such as boogie boarding, skim boarding, sup, kayak, supzilla, raft, boat ride, powerkiting....
The day starts at 10am and ends at 5pm each time, participation 130€.
