Once again, more than 100 courageous polar bears braved the North Sea during the annual Easter Dive

Once again, more than 100 courageous polar bears braved the North Sea during the annual Easter dive at Surfers Paradise in Knokke-Heist. After a very well-attended "Wim Hof" breathing session led by Bart Raeves, the participants were full of positive energy and could start the collective warm-up. This warm-up session was accompanied by the staff of Surfers Paradise on a solid beat, which immediately created a good atmosphere.

Perfectly warmed up and in good spirits, all those present, accompanied by the Easter Bunny with his two polar bears, headed for the water at barely 8°C. The sun, the calm sea and especially the calmness of the wind made it feel very pleasant. After a photo session at the water's edge, everyone dived into the sea. The children thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Bunny handing out Easter eggs, while the two polar bears on their sup ensured safety. The Bruges polar bears were also present, as traditionally a lot of supporters with one common intention: "next year we participate too". Next year, by the way, will be the 20e edition, so make a note of the first Sunday of the Easter holidays in 2023 in your diary.

After this great polar bear session, people could enjoy the sunny beats by the Red Bull DJ in his "Big BOB". All this with delicious sandwiches prepared by butcher Hillewaere and some heart-strengthening drinks.

The summer season is hereby kicked off, hopefully we can enjoy it to the full.
