On Sunday 13 September 2026 Once again, we and many volunteers along the Belgian coast will be heading out in droves to the beach to collect litter. Because anyone who spends as many hours on, beside and in the sea as we do knows better than anyone just how special our coastline is — and how important it is for us to look after it together.
So: put on your walking shoes, bring your family and friends along, and help us make a difference.
The Eneco Clean Beach Cup has been bringing together surf and beach clubs, volunteers, families, water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers for many years, all with a single shared goal: making our beaches cleaner.
During the kick-off of the 2026 edition, which took place earlier this year at us, as many as 200 enthusiastic volunteers off to the beach and the dunes. Together, in barely four hours, they collected 215 kilograms of waste.
A fantastic effort — and at the same time a clear reminder that clean-up operations of this kind are still needed.
Retrieved from Sunday, 13 September So we’re going to get back to work together.
The Eneco Clean Beach Cup therefore fits in perfectly with what Surfers Paradise stands for: bringing people together by the sea and taking joint responsibility for the environment in which we experience so many wonderful moments.
You don’t need to be a surfer or a member of our surf club. Come on your own, with friends, with your family, with colleagues, or just get a whole group together straight away. Children can take part too, making the Eneco Clean Beach Cup a great way to raise their awareness of litter on the beach and in the sea in a very practical and enjoyable way.
You can Registration opens at 1.00 pm and continues throughout the day.
You will be provided with all the necessary equipment, such as a litter picker and a bin bag or bucket.
The organisation also advises participants, where possible, to, your own reusable work gloves to bring along.
