If you are coming to Lakeside or Surfers Paradise between 18 and 22 September, please take into account that Knokke-Heist is the starting point of the World Time Trial Championships and that this will cause traffic problems for all those who want to reach the centre. For Surfers Paradise it is best to turn off in the direction of Sluis and drive via the Hazegrasdijk to the Zwinlaan. This is in fact the normal route to take on busy days.
As for Lakeside Paradise, it is best to drive via the E40 to the A11 and then turn off in the direction of Heist and drive west along the Knokkestraat into Lakeside. In fact, this is what we already recommended a few weeks ago due to the works on the Natiënlaan.
Those who still want to enter Knokke should do so on foot or by bike, as you cannot cross or enter the course by car.
