O'Neill is looking for you

Are you between 12 and 16 years old, addicted to surfing and ready for the real thing? Then O'Neill Rookie Rippers 2025 your chance to break through! Together with legendary surf coach Philippe Malvaux O'Neill is looking for Europe's most promising surfing talent. And who knows, maybe you will soon be standing side by side with pros such as Yolanda Hopkins and Eli Beukes during an unforgettable surf weekend.

What is Rookie Rippers?

Rookie Rippers is Europe's premier social media surfing competition for young surfers aged between 12 and 16. Upload your best surf clip and stand a chance of winning a spot among the 16 selected talents who will be from 18 to 21 September 2025 travel to the Lost Shore Surf Resort in Edinburgh - Europe's newest and most advanced wave pool.

This will be no ordinary surf trip. Think intensive world-class coaching, real-time feedback, luxury accommodation, and battles between teams led by surf pros. At the end of the weekend, two surfers will be chosen to officially become part of Team O'Neill - including a year's sponsorship!

When: 18 to 21 September 2025

Where: Lost Shore Surf Resort, Edinburgh, Scotland

 

How do you participate?

Want a chance to win this unique experience? Follow these 5 steps:

  1. Follow O'Neill on Instagram (@oneilleurope) or TikTok (@oneillofficial)

  2. Upload one surfing video with up to three waves

  3. Tag O'Neill in your video and use the hashtag #RookieRippers

  4. You can only upload once - so choose smartly

  5. Fill it registration form on the Rookie Rippers page in full in

*Without a form, your entry will not be included in the assessment!

And then?

All submitted videos are reviewed by the Rookie Rippers team. The 16 surfers with the strongest clips will be personally selected by Philippe Malvaux, Yolanda Hopkins and Eli Beukes. They will be invited to participate in the Rookie Rippers weekend in Scotland.

After intensive training and exciting team competitions, one team is crowned champion, and two surfers win an official spot at Team O'Neill. 🎉
