Some kids learn to ride a bike, others learn to surf... and then there's Milo Desmedt. 9 years young, on the Paradise Surf team and one of those guys you immediately feel: there is something special in this.

Milo is the son of Anton Desmedt - three-time Beach Master (2008, 2009 & 2010) - so surfing is clearly in the DNA. Although these days it is perhaps more Milo who challenges his dad in the water. Last winter he was still pushed into the waves by Anton, today he surfs surprisingly strong... maybe even just a little bit better...

A few years ago, Anton made a firm choice: he traded the beach of Knokke for the waves of Hossegor and the region of Les Landes. There he started his surfhouse & Airbnb Boardnbreakfast in Labenne - in the middle of one of the best surfing regions in Europe. So perfect for a young talent to grow every day among top waves and a strong surfing community.

And grow Milo does. Quickly, in fact.

What immediately stands out? His incredible progression. Almost every month he learns something new or takes another step forward. The combination of talent, motivation and, above all, lots of fun in surfing ensures that he is currently dominating his U10 category in Les Landes.

Last month, Milo even surfed the legendary big wave spot for the first time La Nord. Not bad for a 9-year-old.
