A colourful end to the summer holidays on Lakeside Paradise!

The end-of-summer event at Lakeside Paradise marked yet another highlight of the wakeboarding season for many members. This traditional UFO session added a splash of colour to the water and the starting pontoon.

All members were allowed to go out on the water for free on Sunday afternoon, on condition that they brought along some item that would allow them to take the cable car.

Their outfits also needed adjusting, as prizes were on offer not only for the best UFO – Unidentified Floating Object – but also for the best-dressed water sports enthusiast.

The winners: Mathieu Turpin managed to sail no fewer than two laps in a homemade pirate ship called “The Black Pearl” and Justin Van Puyvelde She walked down the aisle in a pristine white wedding dress.

The large crowd that turned out couldn’t have been more delighted, and all the participants enjoyed themselves to the full – for as long as their UFOs and outfits held out, of course.

Lakeside Paradise will remain open every day throughout September, culminating in the European Championships wakeboarding and wakeskating from 30 September to 3 October inclusive.

This is set to be a spectacular event, featuring the best wakeboarders from Europe and around the world in the open category.
