At Surfers Paradise the very first Wingsurfers were delivered and immediately put into operation by test pilots Yves Depoorter (L) and Frank Vanleenhove (R).<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wingsurfer was developed at Naish Hawaii and has been in the pipeline for a few years. Summer is just around the corner and the Naish wingsurfer is considered the new watersports hype of 2019. In the 1980s, Naish experimented with a windsurfing-based wing, but thanks to the evolution of kite surfing today, this time they started from a kite, with known and better results... An ultra-light wing, with straps that are easy to control in both hands, easy to carry, in a very compact backpack and inflated in the blink of an eye. The surface area of the Wing is 5 m2.<\/p>\n

The idea is to stand on a surfboard or sup and hold the Wingsurfer in such a position that it catches enough wind to sail forward. By moving it forwards or backwards you can, in combination with the necessary footwork, sail towards or away from the wind. The ultimate aim is to be able to sail with it on a foilboard.
\nThe Wingsurfer will soon be for sale in any water sports shop and should cost around \u20ac800, including pump and leech. A paddle can be attached to the wingsurfer itself so that the user can release the Wing on the water, roll it up and continue using the paddle. This is useful, for example, when the wind drops or during a trip with headwind. The Naish wingsurfer can now be tested and rented at Surfers Paradise in Knokke-Heist, another new challenge!<\/p>\n
