Dear Windsurfers, kiteboarders, foilers, wingers, surfers, skaters, volleyballers, beach bums, bon vivants, friends, dear Surfers Paradise members,<\/p>\n

The season is over...and amid summer moods, we are currently making Surfers Paradise winter-ready.<\/p>\n

Soon it will be quiet at Surfers Paradise for the first time after 930 days of beachlife, but as every winter, we will of course remain open every weekend and holiday day!<\/p>\n

Season 2023 was one where the Belgian climate showed itself from all angles: during the first two months of April\/May, we counted no less than 30 days of North-Eastern wind...which caused the temperature to stagnate at an icy 12 degrees Celsius...June, on the other hand, was warmer with 17 days of wind, this is 1 in 2 so everyone could then indulge to their hearts' content. July, however, broke all wind records with 21 days of action on the water with not too good weather for those whose favourite destination is the beach.<\/p>\n

Those winds persisted for the first 2 weeks of August with storm Antoni being the organ or, for some, the low point...At which our weather station peaked at a whopping 47 knots ! (= 87km\/h ) . And this in the middle of the summer season, fortunately we brought everything that stood or lay on the beach to safety, which did not take away from the fact that our surroundings were transformed into a dune landscape, resulting in a lot of shovelling and bulldozing... <\/p>\n

Nevertheless, we could rejoice in the fact that all our events were a grandiose success: the coldest Easter dive ever, mighty grommet day, unforgettable ladies day, a top 36th Birthday party and, above all, lots of happy beach and water moments, happy visitors and members who felt completely at home on our little piece of paradise as every year! I would say, more of that, because already we are energetically tackling next year's number 37!<\/p>\n
